Cop It, Then Rock It

We might not have said farewell to 2017 yet, but that didn’t stop Balenciaga from unveiling their SS18 collection last week — which was, unsurprisingly, met with divisive reviews. The oversized aesthetic championed by Gvasalia at Vetements in recent years has translated seamlessly into his work at Balenciaga, with collections getting more and more dadcore each season.

The ironically-unfashionable ”bad-taste” trend that ruled 2017 can be found all over this collection. Stonewashed denim, oversized tie-dye T-shirts, and convertible parkas all feature here, with a particular highlight being the ridiculous short-sleeved dragon shirt.
