Premier Toronto-based lifestyle purveyor Jonathan+Olivia has just unveiled an original Banksy piece with the Bombing Middle England, in their new flagship location.

The featured artwork, which measures over six feet of concrete adorned with a stencil drawing, depicts three individuals bowling with bombs in a manner reminiscent of Toronto-based illustrator Cinders McLeod’s 1999 drawing Anarchic Granny. In the stencil, the horizontal plane of green represents the grass in their environment to replicate the game of pétanque, and it was created privately by Banksy during his first official exhibition, Graffiti, Lies & Deviousness, back in January 2003 in the original Surface to Air store in Paris. An updated variation of the art piece depicts the same theme, but the traditional metal balls have been replaced with round black fuse bombs that are lit.

Nic Jones, a former partner and director of the brand, now proudly showcases the original art piece to the public. An image of the original Banksy invitation to the exhibition is featured in the gallery above as well.

If you’re located near the store, visit the official address below. Additionally, the shop carries a bevy of offerings from fashion heavyweights sacai, Marni, Margiela, Yohji Yamamoto, Rick Owens and many more.
