German car tuner Brabus has moved into electric cars, delivering a limited run of what it’s calling the “world’s first performance-tuned electric car.” Its version of smart’s EQ ForTwo Cabrio, the Ultimate E Shadow Edition, was revealed ahead of the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, which begins this Thursday, March 7.
Brabus is only updating 28 of the tiny cars, and will be selling them for €64,900 (approximately $73,5oo) each. The agile city sports car is the first vehicle of its category with motor tuning. The two-seater can hit 100kmph (62mph) in just 10.9 seconds, with a top speed of 130kmph (81mph) and a maximum range of 78 miles per charge.
The Ultimate E Shadow Edition is described as a sporty version of the EQ ForTwo Cabrio, and it’s certainly at the more stylish end of the electric car market, with 18-inch forged alloy wheels and a luxurious Brabus fine leather interior.
