Model: Kamanda, Korsika, and Crazy BYW
Key Features: BED j.w. FORD remixes three already distinct adidas Originals footwear styles. The Kamanda, previously a low-top, is turned into a mid-top sneaker with a sock-like mix of Primeknit and premium nubuck leather. The Crazy BYW’s design stays largely intact, with a multi-panelled upper and stealthy triple black colorway. The final style is one from adidas’ archives, a deck-style moccasin named Korsika. The sock liner and premium triple black construction is, once again, present on the final of the three footwear offerings.
Release Date: September 20
Editor’s Notes: Shinpei Yamagishi’s label, BED j.w. FORD, and adidas Originals have unveiled their first collaborative collection, which comprises a range of apparel as well as three footwear options. The footwear is elevated with premium materials and a stealthy triple black color scheme across all three models, while the apparel takes a cut-and-paste approach, with panelled pieces arriving in a burgundy and navy color scheme with reflective and gold branding throughout.
“I think one of the most important factors of collaborations is for each brand to be able to still express their individual concept,” says Yamagishi. “We tried to maintain our brand’s style and express adidas’ characteristics at the same level, very carefully.”
