In celebration of their 100th birthday, Bentley unveils the Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner, which is being pegged as the ultimate collector’s edition. The vehicle is a tribute to Sir Henry Ralph Stanley “Tim” Birkin and his “Blower” Bentley.
The customizable Continental GT references the No. 9 Blower Bentley that Birkin raced at the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hours via a large “9” in the grille. Furthermore, a piece from Birkin’s 4.5-liter race car is implemented in each of the 100 No. 9 Edition rides.
The inside of the Continental GT welcomes a rotating display in the dashboard, with the center gauge featuring a piece of the wooden seat from the 1930 Le Mans car. The interior also notes turned aluminum trim, a British Jaeger clock face inspired by the Blower’s original dials and 18-karat gold plating on the vent pull knobs. The seat headrests and the door panels are branded with Bentley’s “B” logo, while the door sill plates have a “1 of 100” marking. Customers can choose between Cumbrian Green or Beluga leather interior.
Optioned in Viridian Green or Beluga Black paint jobs, the No. 9 Edition comes with 21-inch 10-spoke wheels, as well as the Continental GT’s Black Line package and the carbon bodykit package.
Bentley has yet to announce pricing for the Continental GT Number 9 Edition, which, again, is limited to 100 units.
