US Vogue has shared its highly anticipated September issue cover featuring Beyoncé. The singer, who was reportedly given full creative control, was captured by 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell, as per her request. Her executive decision marks the first time in the publication’s 126 year history that a black photographer has shot the cover.

For the cover images, Beyoncé wears a Lynn Ban floral headpiece and a white dress by Rebel Rebel. Elsewhere, the singer sports a multi-colored Alexander McQueen corset and dress paired with Lynn Ban earrings.

For her cover issue, the singer discusses her most recent pregnancy with twins Rumi and Sir, what it was like to perform at Coachella, and the legacy she hopes to leave behind following the collaborative “On the Run II” tour with husband, JAY-Z.
