This weekend will see hundreds of thousands of citizens march on Washington on the first full day of Trump's presidency. The Women's March on Washington is being heralded as one of the most massive protests in American history, certainly the largest demonstration against a presidential inauguration. Now, in a note on her Facebook, Beyoncé has officially endorsed the event and has encouraged her fans to attend.

"We raise our voices as mothers, as artists, and as activists," she writes, going on to say that "As #GlobalCitizens, we can make our voices heard and turn awareness into meaningful action and positive change." Read her full post right here.

While it may seem obvious for Beyoncé to endorse an event that is so clearly in line with her previously stated beliefs, she is one of few artists of her caliber with such a large platform to publicly vouch for the event. And, lest we forget, she was a staunch advocate for the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.

Her sister Solange is also actively involved in events created to voice opposition to the incoming regime change. Tonight she will be performing at the Peace Ball, an evening of music and art meant to "celebrate the accomplishments and successes of the past 4 years" which is being marketed as an alternative Inauguration Ball.

Visit the Women's March website for information on how to attend and register for events. Revisit the video for "Formation" below.

In related music news, Waka Flocka Flame performed a truly unorthodox protest against Donald Trump on stage the other night involving his rear end. Watch what he did right here.
