According to The Hollywood Reporter, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will both be reprising their roles of “Ted” Theodore Logan and “Bill” S. Preston, Esq. in the upcoming third film that acts as a compliment to Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.
Titled Bill & Ted Face the Music, the iconic duo is now strapped with the expectations that come along with adulthood, but still must conjure up one last iconic tune that “can save life as we know it.”
Teaming with their teenage daughters, Bill and Ted travel through time in the new film where they encounter more historical figures and of course, plenty of music legends who will hopefully aid them in their quest to write that one last perfect song.
Original creators, Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon have written the script, while Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Red 2, Fun With Dick and Jane) is on board to direct.
“We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again,” said Reeves and Winter. “Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm we’ve got a dream team!”
