For his latest food installment, chef Andrew Rea, aka Binging with Babish, tackles a selection of Baltimore junk food specialties made famous in David Simon’s crime magnum opus, The Wire.

First preparing the lake trout, a dish not too dissimilar to the classic British fare of fish and chips, Rea seems pleased enough with his finished product, albeit laments the fact it is served up with the bones still intact. He then attempts Wee Bey’s beloved pit beef dish, a sandwich which is apparently as delicious as it looks. The food odyssey comes to an end with the dock workers’ infamous egg cracked into a beer and whiskey combination — something that certainly isn’t for the weak of stomach.
