Birdman made a public apology to Lil Wayne this weekend, onstage at the one day Lil’ Weezyana Fest in New Orleans. The pair have had longstanding beef due to legal issues they were wrapped up in, but the rapper and the Cash Money Records CEO notably managed to reach an eight figure settlement in June, with Weezy no longer contractually bound to Cash Money Records, and his long-awaited The Carter V album set to be released via Universal.

“It feels amazing to be home fucking with my son, I love that nigga to death,” Birdman said on stage at Lil’ Weezyana festival. “I don’t know what y’all know but I know what the fuck I know and I know how I feel about what I know. I knew this day was gon’ come but I ain’t know when it was gon’ come. But this nigga right chea? The best nigga, the realest nigga, the illest nigga. And I wanted to apologize to my nigga worldwide.”

After the big apology, Birdman and Weezy performed Big Tymers’ “Still Fly.” Check out the footage below.  Other performers at the festival included Nicki Minaj, Jeezy, Youngboy Never Broke Again, and Torey Lanez.
