black lives matter black history month pop up
Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter Global Network is celebrating Black Futures Month with the launch of an ambitious, multi-city events series called Black Lives Matter Arts+Culture X Black Futures Month. The project launches today, February 17, in LA, Atlanta and Toronto.

BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors and Damon Turner (founder of the world’s first Cultural Architecture firm, Trap Heals, LLc.) are co-curating a series of pop-ups to showcase the works of several emerging artists that embody Black art and culture. The project encompasses fashion initiatives, e-commerce destinations, pop-up stores and capsule collections featuring emerging and iconic African-American designers, recording artists and contemporary visual artists.

The project has also launched online, where you can purchase numbered prints and tote bags featuring artwork by Emory Douglas, seen at Art Basel Miami last year.

If you’re in Los Angeles, Toronto or Atlanta today, be sure to check them out.
