While most blind people slowly fumble around, foldable cane in one hand, golden retriever in the other, Dan Mancina has somehow continued to skate despite being struck down by a terrible visual impairment. Not only that, but he hunts and has a girlfriend, too.

He wasn't born blind either, so rather than being crippled by despair, Dan has just continued on with his life. He recently sat down with Jenkem magazine to talk about life with his disability, sparing no grizzly detail  – even discussing the logistics of wiping his ass. Incredible.

What comes out (of the interview, not his rear) is a heartwarming tribute to the power of positivity and the indomitable nature of the human spirit.
