BMW has just unveiled the new M5 "Competition Edition." The vehicle will be limited to 200 models and will be available only in Europe.

The Competition Edition features the M5's accustomed twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, here receiving an increase in boost pressure for 40 more horsepower and 16 pound-feet of torque. In turn, the Competition Edition cranks out 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, racing from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds.

M dual-clutch transmission comes standard on the new edition, in addition to Competition Package components such as a recalibrated differential, special steering calibration, reprogrammed M chassis control system, and a lowered, upgraded suspension.

The new M5 will arrive in two color options of Carbon Black and Mineral White, with carbon fiber detail. The rear diffuser, spoiler and mirror caps are also finished in carbon fiber, while eye-catching black wheels wrapped in performance tires account for the perfect complement.

Supple black leather with contrasting stitching then fills the interior, as embroidered M5 branding can be seen on the headrests. Carbon fiber trim has also been applied to the inside of the automobile. Finally, the Competition Edition comes with a Bang & Olufsen stereo system.

Just last month we got a look at BMW's stunning 30th anniversary M3.
