Boston retailer Bodega has developed a reputation for thinking outside the box; this is, after all, a company whose concept store is hidden behind an entrance disguised as a convenience store. So it should come as no surprise that for the store’s newest collaboration with Dutch footwear brand Filling Pieces, they have taken inspiration from 14th-century Chinese design.
The partnership has produced a sneaker called the Ceramic Blue Mountain Cut, one that effortlessly reproduces the aesthetic of traditional porcelain ware. The intricate print is comprised of classic blue and white designs on top of a solid white sole, contrasted with solid blue laces.
The Ceramic Blue Mountain Cut retails for $250 and will go on sale exclusively through Bodega’s online store on May 7.
