After unveiling Bottega Veneta’s FW19 collection at Milan Fashion Week in February, brand creative director Daniel Lee has made the first piece from his inaugural lineup available. At this year’s Salone del Mobile, the brand announced the advanced release of its new Arco bag from the Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
The newly appointed Lee drew upon his house’s famed intrecciato leather weaving technique to create four sizes of the bag which comes in several neutral tones. Take a look at the selection below.
The Arco bag is made from French calfskin and is bonded with suede. Non-woven versions are also available in soft crocodile and palmellato. The largest size, the Arco 75, alternates French calfskin and suede in a texturized checked pattern.
The inspiration for the name comes from the neoclassical Arco della Pace monument in the center of Milan. The iconic structure provided the backdrop for Bottega Veneta’s Fall/Winter 2019 show.
Prices range between ¥765,000 (approx. $6,834) for the larger size to ¥360,000 (approx. $3,216) for the smaller one. You can purchase the Arco bag now, ahead of the Prefall Collection release, at Bottega Veneta stores and official sites in Milan.
