
The Fashion Awards returned to the Royal Albert Hall in London last night for the annual event that recognizes the biggest names in the industry and rewards creativity and innovation. This year, the ceremony was hosted by sartorial trailblazer, Tracee Ellis Ross.
Last night's event will undoubtedly go down as the point at which Daniel Lee truly cemented himself as an industry heavy-weight, taking home Accessories Designer of the Year, Womenswear Designer of the Year, Brand of the Year, and Designer of the Year for Bottega Veneta.
But even before the event officially kicked off, it was clear that Rihanna was the real star of the evening. Her presence was palpable as she took to the red carpet with A$AP Rocky in a mint tulle custom Fenty creation. Then, in one of the evening's more surprising moments, the multihyphenate went on to receive the Urban Luxe award for Fenty; presented by none other than Janet Jackson.
Naomi Campbell was acknowledged as the fashion icon that she is, Remo Ruffini accepted Business Leader of the year for Moncler, and Sarah Burton was recognized as an industry trailblazer. Giorgio Armani was honored for his outstanding achievements in Fashion, and Christopher Kane was named the designer’s designer
