Last week, Browns took over an abandoned supermarket in the center of Berlin for a three-day pop-up event that brought together a tattoo artist, a palm reader, fashion industry experts, designers, DJs, musicians, and artists.
Manchester rapper IAMDDB took to the stage for the launch party, followed by Berlin-based female and non-binary DJ collective No Shade. Kikelomo, Sara Fumaca, and Linnea Palmestal delivered club-ready tunes before NYC’s Juliana Huxtable rounded out the night with a techno set.
The next day, Vogue Germany Director Dennis Bratz hosted “The New Era” panel. GmbH co-founders Benjamin Alexander Huseby and Serhat Isik, and designers Priya Ahluwalia and Mariah Esa discussed issues of waste and sustainability. Guests then explored OrtaMiklos’ installation, where dancer Vinson Fraley Jr. later performed.
On the final day, shoppers congregated for The New Luxury panel discussion, hosted by Highsnobiety’s Jian DeLeon. Here, Browns CEO Holli Rogers, Nigerian designer Kenneth Ize, and Casablanca founder, Charaf Tajer, recounted their first luxury purchases and what luxury means to them today.
