Synonymous with timeless elegance, British luxury fashion house Burberry is not one to shy away from breaking new ground. For fall/winter ’18, the label known for its classic Nova check in neutral hues has taken a decidedly more urban approach to its apparel and accessories, with heavy graffiti motifs throughout.
Reinterpreting stylish classics such as drawstring backpacks, belts, shirts, and outerwear, the pieces balance Burberry’s austere aesthetic and urban coolness. The statement pieces feature heavy graffiti motifs in red, blue, and yellow, also incorporating pieces adopted by a younger, self-confident audience, such as the side bag.
At the top of the men’s fashion agenda right now thanks to Ricardo Tisci’s recent debut as creative director in London, the pieces are a welcome transition into a future of experiment within the timeless label. And, while on the pricier end of the Burberry spectrum, our favorite pieces come in the oversized check down jacket — a surefire way to be turning heads all winter.
