Editor’s Notes: C2H4 are looking to the year 2082 for their SS18 collection, dubbed “Zero Gravity.” Here, we find designer Yixi Chen presenting laboratory workwear for a chemist from that particular time period.
“The concept of C2H4 18 S/S collection ‘Zero Gravity’ is based on our virtual space company ‘C2H4 Spacetech,’ which provides trips for habitants on Earth to travel to Mars,” says Chen. “The campaign shows the life of an on board staff member during his trip in the year 2082. Pockets and utility features allow person wear the clothes to keep things under zero gravity circumstances. The tag for SS18 collection is even a boarding pass for travelers from ERH-MAR.”
The coinciding “Zero Gravity” styles are predominantly monochromatic, complemented by accent colors of cool blue, dynamic red, and urban yellow.
In addition to the batch of “Zero Gravity” goods, C2H4 also previews their forthcoming collaboration with Vans in the above lookbook. You can look forward to the sneakers arriving this summer.
