CALVIN KLEIN JEANS EST. 1978 — a Raf Simons Calvin Klein project that took off last summer — effortlessly combines US heritage styles such as Western with streetwear-oriented aesthetics to create timeless designs with more accessible price-points than its parent brand.
The label's FW18 collection came with instant grails, including trucker jackets and denim jeans sporting eye-catching prints such as nostalgic American landscapes and US flags. Now, for SS19, CALVIN KLEIN JEANS EST. 1978 is embracing the Western aesthetic to full effect.
In fact, aside from classic blue jeans and logo-printed denim jackets, the collection's standout pieces include a printed set à la that iconic look rocked by A$AP Rocky. This Western shirt and matching straight jeans retail for $512 and $489 respectively, arriving with a bold all-over print featuring a bull-riding cowboy being cheered on by his peers.
And the Western vibes don't stop simply at its bold print. The shirt also sports Western-inspired design details such as a pointy collar and Western front and yoke.
With the Belgian designer having exited Calvin Klein last month, the Western set is all the more appealing being one of his final designs under the line. Click through below to take a look at the eye-catching new pieces.
