Editor’s Notes: Up-and-coming New York brand Can’t Skate is run by Kameron Austin, a former shop guy at Kinfolk, the combination nightlife spot, men’s shop, and clothing brand that just got a nod as one of GQ‘s coolest menswear labels on the planet. Ironically, he actually can skate.
He’s been running Can’t Skate as a side hustle for a while, but now he’s focusing more on his label and other projects. What started out as his own customized pair of Nike Air Force 1s is now becoming a limited release on his site. The perennially New York sneaker is redone with bungee cord laces and “Tie Down” written in Sharpie at the bottom of the eyelets.
Available in the classic white-on-white lows and an all-black mid, these are slated to drop on cant-skate.com at noon today.
