TMZ reports that Cardi B and Offset are being sued after an alleged assault by their security at a Met Gala after-party. The charges have been brought by a man who was seeking autographs from the couple, who claims that he suffered “savage assault” at the hands of the pair’s hired bodyguards.

The man, Giovanni Arnold, has offered his version of the incident that took place outside The Mark Hotel. After repeatedly asking for autographs, he alleges that Cardi B yelled at him, “Fuck outta here, n****, I will slap the shit out of you.” Offset is alleged to have followed suit with, “Shut up, bro, before a n**** beat you out here.” He claims that, shortly afterward, three bodyguards emerged and beat him to the ground while he attempted to protect himself from serious injury. According to TMZ’s report, he was then apparently hospitalized, claiming “injuries to his face, neck, back, and body.”

TMZ also says that Cardi B’s camp claims that Arnold was “super aggressive and obnoxious,” though no further statements have been given to TMZ or other outlets as of press time.
