Former Saint Laurent designer Hedi Slimane has just presented his first collection for the French house Celine, following the announcement of a logo redesign.

Fans of Celine speculated that Slimane could change the house by applying his signature glam-rock, ‘Slimane skinny’ aesthetic to the beloved brand, and as the runway show proved, those predictions were correct. Having almost completely done away with Phoebe Philo’s elegant, female-focused design philosophy, Slimane told Le Figaro “You don’t enter a fashion house to imitate the work of your predecessor.”

Below, you can find a handful of reactions from around the web. Check out images from the Parisian runway show here.
