Literally Balling

Victor Solomon and his extravagant “Literally Balling” series continues to expand, as the artist has now unveiled another eye-catching variation of a basketball, dubbed, Moonshot VS.004.

Made in conjunction with ceramicist Brock Deboer, the circular sculpture has been comprised of reconstructed porcelain, gold dust and resin. The design takes cues from the ancient Japanese practice of ceramic repair, Kintsugi, highlighting the cracks and repairs as formative parts of an object’s history.

Measuring in at 9″ in diameter, the meticulously crafted art piece is limited to 33 only, and can be purchased at Literally Balling for a cool $2,499 USD.
