A highlight of the Paris Fashion Week schedule, luxury megabrand Chanel recently unveiled its FW16 womenswear collection in an uncharacteristically low-key setting. The brand didn't recreate the city of Paris, a casinobrasserie or supermarket, as it's spectacularly done in the past, but that doesn't mean Karl Lagerfeld didn't have any tricks up his sleeve when it came to Chanel's collection.

Emoji motifs were peppered throughout many of the brand's pieces, as jackets and bags were adorned with cartoonish four-leaf clovers, thumbs ups, victory hands and cats (Lagerfeld's earns more than you, by the way), as well as Emoji-fied versions of Chanel's interlocking C logo.

This isn't the first time Karl Lagerfeld and Emoji have crossed paths - there's a dedicated app, dubbed emotiKarl, that allows iPhone and Android users to communicate using images of the German design legend.
