The latest fast-food intervention into fashion has arrived in the form of Cheetos-inspired fashion show at New York Fashion Week. According to the cheesy snack purveyors, "Cheetos and the House of Flamin’ Haute put the cat in catwalk" on Thursday.

Models in Guy Fieri-esque flame shirts walked the runway to Normani's "Motivation" and Lizzo's "Juice" and attendees sipping on Cheeto-rimmed cocktails were treated to a surprise performance by Saweetie.

The show demonstrates the current symbiotic relationship between internet culture, fast food aesthetics, and streetwear. Each of the 21 designs to grace the Cheetos runway were reportedly inspired by social media trends; from Molly Goddard-style meme-couture dresses in flaming hot hues to accessories emblazoned with the iconic Cheetos design, it was a made-for-the-internet activation par excellence.
