Comic Con is now here in New York City. This is the time where very enthusiastic anime and comic heads congregate for three days, in costumes worth hundreds or thousands of dollars that took months to make. It’s their fashion week, and for all those who want to join the festivities without dressing like a Super Saiyan, we’ve put together a list of items that will help you blend in without taking you completely out of your comfort zone.

Designers like Rick Owens and Jeremy Scott are never afraid to have a bit of fun and create very specific silhouettes and pieces that totally work for playing dress up in the best way possible. For example, these RO gladiator sandals could be paired with the Kiko Kostadinov quarter length pants and Walter Van Beirendonck’s dripping morph mask to have you looking like a villain, and once Comic Con is over, you now have a pieces that could be dressed down and work for everyday use as well. Everybody wins!
