COMME des GARÇONS showed the FW18 collection for its menswear line, CDG Homme Plus, at Paris Fashion Week over the weekend.
The color palette was a dazzling, brilliant white, which was interrupted with a juxtaposing comic book strip print worn on blazers, vests, and pants. The collection was disparate with models walking in a collection that spanned skinny fit pants, shorts, and skirts in cuts of black leather, padded white material, camo print, and loose translucent silk-like fabric.
If you recall the Nike x CdG Air Force 1 from last year, you'll remember the 3D dinosaurs that were bolted to the toe. Well, the dinosaur motif made a return this season, this time in the form of incredible calico structures worn on the model's heads as part of a collaboration with artist Shimoda Masakatsu. For footwear, CdG also teased a super chunky COMME des GARÇONS x Nike ACG Mowabb, which like the rest of the collection, was decked out in multiple shades of white.
The only words from the Rei Kawakubo on her inspirations this season were "WHITE SHOCK Inner Rebel," which while not saying a lot, seems to kind of say it all.
