Comme des Garçons announced plans to launch a new brand online this summer. Director and Comme des Garçons Chief Executive Officer, Adrian Joffe announced the news at the opening of the Dover Street Market in Beijing just last week, WWD reports. “Nobody knows yet, but what I can tell you is it’s going to be Internet-based," Joffe stated.
The new imprint will be the 18th brand for the company, joining the likes of Noir, Homme, Plus, Shirt, and Play, as Rei Kawakubo is expected to be designing the website for the label. Following the online launch in July, six shops will then be opened worldwide.
