For its first ever entry into the lifestyle market, Portland-based boots maker Danner has secured the services of FDMTL as guest creative director.
Together, the pair has unveiled the "DANNER by FDMTL Capsule Collection," made up of the all-purpose Mountain Light. The premium, winter-ready boot can trace its origins back to the 1960s and comes equipped with hand-printed waterproof leather, interior DRI-LEX technology, and tough Vibram Kletter Lift soles.
Processing Japanese Fabrics with American craftsmanship, the brown and blue patterns were overseen by Gaku Tsuyoshi, founder and chief designer at FDMTL.
Those looking to cop can do so when the boot drops December 17 at Dover Street Market Ginza. Expect to pay ¥90,000 (approx. $780).
