Danny Brown performed to a packed house last week, as we took over China Chalet for the Highsnobiety Issue 18 launch party. The Chinese restaurant in NYC’s Financial District was transformed into a raucous party, as more than 700 guests showed out for a night of music courtesy of Brown and DJ sets by Vashtie, Hank Korsan, and DJ U.NO.HU. The rain outside didn’t prevent a line from growing more than a block.

In addition to a new song from his upcoming album, U Know What I’m Sayin?, produced by Q-Tip, our latest cover star performed a series of older hits including “Smokin’ and Drinkin’”, “Really Doe”, “Grown Up”, and “I Will.” As the crowd jumped up and down, you could literally feel the hardwood floor shake—a call back to our party last year with Chief Keef.

Attendees were given a free copy of our Danny Brown cover, which you can purchase here now

Check out everything that went down in our recap video and photo gallery above, and be sure to stay tuned for information regarding the inevitable Highsnobiety Issue 19 launch party in the second half of 2019.
