Public School co-founder Dao-Yi Chow has been announced as the new creative director of Sergio Tacchini. This comes as the sportswear company undergoes a relaunch under new owners Stefano Maroni, Twin Lakes Capital LLC and B. Riley Principal Investments LLC.

“I am honored to have been entrusted to lead the creative vision for a company with a legacy and heritage as rich as Sergio Tacchini,” Chow said in a press release. “I fell in love with tennis at an early age and now having the opportunity to reimagine Sergio Tacchini into a modern lifestyle brand is a dream come true.”

Sergio Tacchini, an Italian tennis player, founded his namesake brand in 1966, bringing a splash of color into tennis apparel. Over the years, the brand was endorsed by tennis legends including John McEnroe, Pete Sampras, and Novak Djokovic.

Chow's first collection for Sergio Tacchini will come for the SS20 season.
