Dave East continues to bolster his acting credits, as the 30-year-old rapper is set to star in Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Deadline reports. The 10-episode drama is spearheaded by Wu-Tang Clan's RZA and writer Alex Tse (Superfly).

East will portray Shotgun, the assistant manager at the concession stand located next to the Statue of Liberty, who is also known for his rhyming prowess. In reality, Shotgun is none other than Wu-Tang's own Method Man. Method Man worked at said concession stand prior to his Wu-Tang glory days.

Wu-Tang: An American Saga is set in early '90s New York during the formative years of Wu-Tang Clan. In addition to East, the series stars Ashton Sanders, Julian Elijah Martinez and Vinnie Pastore. RZA and Method Man serve as executive producers alongside Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo, Alex Tse and Craig Zisk, while fellow Wu-Tang members Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa and GZA, as well as the Estate of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, are consulting producers.
