Jason Campbell, editor-in-chief of JC Report and founder of ClosetHQ, has published an op-ed piece for Business of Fashion discussing the "whites-only policy" at his Vetements and Balenciaga fashion shows. These days, it seems racial diversity in fashion would be somewhat of a moot point, but that's hardly the case. For BoF, Campbell writes that one opponent of inclusion happens to be Demna Gvasalia, who recently presented his Fall/Winter 2016 collections worn by white models only.

Gvasalia's straight-laced approach to casting is short-sighted on his part, given how progressive his sensibilities are and how much headway has been made by the industry as a whole. His ability to skirt mainstream ideals has been widely talked about and most tangibly seen in his creative outputs, making it all the more upsetting that he refuses to challenge the status quo of race relations.
