Diadora has enlisted retailer Packer Shoes for the brand's "From Seoul to Rio" campaign to create a new footwear and apparel capsule collection inspired by the iconic Olympics rings.
Packer's rework of the classic Diadora Intrepid model features a different color on each of the four form-stripes, with the black ring represented by the premium suede and leather of the uppers. Additional details come by way of a gum outsole, metallic gold lace tips and debossed Packer branding on the heels. As a final nod to the Olympics, a collage containing the flags of the world is printed on the insoles.
Alongside the sneakers, the pack also contains a nylon track jacket, a jersey, two caps, and a cordura duffle bag. All of which use the same Olympic color scheme as the kicks.
Limited to 500 pairs worldwide, the Packer x Diadora Intrepid “From Seoul to Rio” collaboration will retail at $180 and release on August 20 at Packer stores and online. The apparel & accessories will drop on the same day and will range from $30 to $150.
