Black Panther 2 is only in the beginning stages of its life cycle and it's already gearing up to be a classic. Recently, we've reported that Donald Glover played a helping hand to writing one of the funniest jokes in the first film, and now it seems he could potentially have a bigger role in the sequel.
"Ryan Coogler is currently mapping out Black Panther’s sequel and has written in a number of new characters that movie-goers will be introduced to when it premieres," said the source, according to Metro. "One of those characters, if he gets his wish, will be played by Childish Gambino. Nothing is set in stone but 'informal talks' [are happening] between Ryan, Gambino and reps from Marvel and Disney to see if they can make it happen."
SPOILER ALERT FOR 'BLACK PANTHER' FILM BELOW!
Another rumored surprise appearance in BP2 will be Michael B. Jordan. As you already know, he starred as Eric Killmonger, who is assumed to be dead at the end of Black Panther, or so we thought!
"They’re still yet to decide if Michael B. Jordan will return in some capacity but if he doesn’t it’s likely Gambino may play some kind of villain," said the source.
If it happens, it wouldn't be the first time Glover played sort of villain in the Marvel universe following his Spiderman: Homecoming role as Aaron Davis, a career criminal who later becomes the Prowler in the comic books. Would you be down to see T'Challa versus Jordan/Glover face-off in Wakanda? Regardless if the rumors are true, we'll be there opening night. Wakanda Forever!!!
