Any intermittent follower of fashion will have seen the wave of transparent bags hitting shelves of late, from OFF-WHITE x RIMOWA suitcases to Maison Margiela totes. When it comes to apparel, we were also here for transparent jackets, simply for their ability to show off those ’fire fits hiding underneath. But pants?
Winners of the 2018 LVMH grand prize, Doublet, is showing the transparency trend has legs with its latest release – two pairs of see-through trousers done out in all-white and beige. Other distinctive details of the polyester pants include belt loops and a shoe-lace belt accessory.
Of course, experimentation is no new thing for Japan-based Doublet, whose first SS19 drop came with highlights including a “Compressed Cup Noodle” T-shirt that came in instant ramen packaging.
That said, it will undoubtedly take a very bold style sensibility to pull these off, whatever you're rocking below (please, shorts at the very least). Available now at L.A.'s H.LORENZO for just short of $600 each, take a closer look at the pants via the links below.
