The eighth annual OVO Fest took place Monday night in Toronto at Budweiser Stage. Drake brought out plenty of special guests, notably Tory Lanez, who was invited on stage to perform his remix of “Controlla” from Drake's 2016 album VIEWS.
The pair recently squashed some long standing beef, which started when Lanez criticised Drake for referring to Toronto as “the 6.” Drake addressed their feud to the audience, saying “This guy right here, we had problems with each other and we hadn’t even met each other. I met the man and he’s a great guy.” Check out the footage below.
Aside from Tory Lanez, Playboi Carti, French Montana, Rae Sremmurd, Cardi B, Migos, Nelly, and The Weeknd made surprise appearances over the course of the evening. OVO signees Majid Jordan, Roy Woods, dvsn, and Baka also performed. Take a look at our recap of last year’s OVO Fest, where Future and Rihanna were surprise guests, right here.
