
Alongside a bizarre Sean Spicer appearance, and an amazing Chance the Rapper performance, last night's Emmys saw some of the best shows on TV receive recognition for making our weekdays a little less boring.
Donald Glover became the first black director to win an Emmy in comedy, Master of None's Lena Waithe became the first black woman to win an Emmy for comedy writing, Nicole Kidman delivered an impassioned speech about domestic violence, and The Handmaid's Tale won big.
But as with any red carpet event, most people tuned in for the fashion, and luckily the stars didn't disappoint. Amid the regular all-black tuxes, there were plenty of flamboyant alternatives to admire, while the gowns oscillated between simple and striking.
