The trailer for new indie romance Cruise dropped yesterday, and it’s brimming with all the drag racing and vintage-wearing realness you’d want from an ’80s-set movie starring Emily Ratajkowski.
A twist on the whole “bad boy meets sweet girl and gets schooled about the world” cliché, Cruise is the story of wealthy Jewish college student Jessica Weinberg (Emrata), who meets Gio Fortunato (Spencer Boldman), a young Italian-American (plus the aforementioned “bad boy”), and the adventures they have together over one hot summer. Watch the trailer up top.
The movie is helmed by Robert D. Siegel, who wrote the screenplays for The Wrestler and The Founder. Alongside Ratajkowski and Boldman (21 Jump Street) are Kathrine Narducci (The Sopranos), Noah Robbins (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), and Lucas Salvagno (Gotham).
Cruise hits theaters on September 28. Will you be watching? Let us know in the comments.
