Faze Miyake has developed a reputation for being grime's most on-point joker, but his production prowess is no laughing matter. His new Infamous EP showcases why he's also regarded one of the best on the buttons, having previously linked up with the likes of CASISDEAD and AJ Tracey for some of the genre's hardest-hitting tracks.
We've got the premiere to "Vice City" from the upcoming four-track EP, where Faze teams up with keyboard king and Night Slugs alumni Sweyn Jupiter for a certified poolside head-nodder. The whirring police sirens and staple dog barks synonymous with brand Faze Miyake™️ by Faze Miyake are toned down in favor of sugary, summertime synths that we're rating heavily, despite the shite Berlin weather we're currently experiencing at Highsnob HQ. Listen to the track below.
Speaking about how he connected with Sweyn on "Vice City," Faze told us, "Sweyn’s my guy man. I had a studio in West London where I was living at the time, and Sweyn lives there too. I told him to come have one of the best sessions ever. It was.” Faze is set to keep the work rate high this year. You'll be hearing and seeing a lot more from his Woofer imprint, with a fresh batch of merch in the pipeline and plenty more heat lined up for the rest of the year.
Before Infamous arrives this Friday, make sure you hit up the EP's launch party which you can attend here and revisit "Routes," where Faze unites with Jesse James Soloman on a track that travels across South London on the bass-heavy banger, below.
Infamous Tracklist:
Routes (co prod. by Felix) ft. Jesse James Solomon Chase The Money ft. Capo Lee & Reeko Squeeze 150mph ft. JD. Reid Vice City ft. Sweyn Jupiter
