Editor’s Notes: Coinciding with its FW18 collection, Filling Pieces present the “Off the Grid” campaign, symbolizing the exploration of the unknown. Featuring ready-to-wear and footwear for the first time in tandem, the designs and materials are made to face dense jungles, arid deserts, unforgiving ice, and the tallest mountains. At the core, the “Off the Grid” philosophy is all about combating your fears and pursuing a path less traveled.
“This collection stands for our boundary-less vision of our world, figuratively and literally,” founder Guillaume Philibert says. “Off the Grid means getting out of your own ways to getting to know the unacquainted. Like my parents with their immigrant background, as many likeminded.”
Filling Pieces have then called on four creatives who embody the “Off the Grid” spirit, each with their own unique story on their personal journey to success. Their experiences have been documented in a series of video interviews.
The brand’s complete FW18 collection takes cues from the functional equipment used by the world’s boldest explorers. We see premium leather in Earth-colored tones, durable ripstop fabrics, powder coated custom hardware, 3M reflective piping, and neon colorways.
Available in extremely limited numbers, Filling Pieces’ FW18 assortment can be found at Barneys NY, CNTRBND, GR8 Tokyo, Lessons, SSENSE physical stores, as well as online.
