G-Star RAW has been back in the innovation lab deconstructing denim to its purest form, thus presenting their third Raw Research collection under the direction of Aitor Throup. This delivery is particularly special as it marks the release of the first-ever Raw Research women’s range.
The project is also highlighted by new innovations in denim construction, silhouette and shape, all underscored by an undyed, unwashed and untreated raw denim. Both the men’s and women’s assortments then boast ten pieces done up in undyed calico denim. The raw garments have undergone an intricate hand dyeing process, resulting in an organically irregular visual effect.
The Spiraq jean is presented as the collection’s new 3D denim style, molded to deliver the perfect 3D fit, engineered around the leg. The pant has ultimately been constructed from a single piece of denim, as opposed to the usual two strands.
G-Star’s third Raw Research capsule is set to arrive December 15.
