G-Star RAW is launching its most sustainable jeans ever, created in partnership with Dystar, Artistic Milliners and Saitex.

Available as part of the label's SS18 capsule, the G-Star Elwood RFTPi jeans were developed using alternative indigo dyeing processes which ultimately reduced the use of toxic chemicals, salt, and water.

With this in mind, the brand made sure to use 100 percent organic cotton as part of the denim's construction in addition to removing all zippers in favor of eco-friendly metal buttons and responsibly sourced labeling.

Frouke Bruinsma, Corporate Responsibility Director of G-Star RAW, said: “Our new denim fabric and its revolutionary indigo process will become an open source for the rest of the industry to use. We would like to invite others to join us towards cleaner and more ethical denim production globally.”

The G-Star RAW Elwood RFTPi jean, along with its counterpart, the D-Staq RFTPi denim jacket, will be available in stores and online from February 15, in both men and women's sizes.
