Warning: this article contains mild spoilers from the Game of Thrones finale.
The final season of Game of Thrones has included everything from lurking cameramen, sneakers, press shots with recovered limbs, and of course that now-infamous coffee cup. And in last night’s grand finale, fans spotted yet more extra-narrative objects: not one, but two water bottles. Clearly, resolving the future of Westeros is thirsty work.
At approximately 46:19 in the episode, you can spot a clearly non-Westerosi water bottle at the foot of Samwell Tarly, played by John Bradley. It comes into shot as Tyrion Lannister, played by Peter Dinklage, walks toward seated representatives of the Seven Kingdoms. Take a look below.
That wasn’t the last of it, though. A few minutes later, eagle-eyed fans spotted another bottle tucked behind Ser Davos’ chair. Perhaps the Onion Knight needs to take care of his onion breath.
The erroneous coffee cup scored Starbucks unprecedented free advertising in the aftermath of “Starbucks-gate.” We’ll see if Evian gets a spike in sales in the days to come.
