Denmark's Georg Jensen was founded as a silverware company in 1904. Among its most famous silversmiths were Henning Koppel, who in 1977 made the company's first-ever men's watch. (Georg Jensen also boasts Arne Jacobsen as one of its past collaborators.) The Koppel watch range has reigned as the Danish brand's most stylish men's timepieces since, and 111 years later, Baselworld 2015 sees three new models added to the line: the GMT Power Reserve, Mechanical Hand-Wound Small Seconds and the Grande Date Annual Calendar.
All three watches come with Soprod-manufactured Swiss movements that took two years in research and development. Also featured are stainless steel cases, sapphire crystal backs, matte white faces and alligator straps. The Grande Date Annual Calendar in particular also comes in 18-karat gold, heightening the luxuriousness of the modern wrist wear.
Look forward to the release of the new models next month, with prices ranging from $2,990 to $16,500. In the meantime, you can shop Georg Jensen's current Koppel watches here.
