London's German Gymnasium was recently named the world's best overall restaurant at the international Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. The space opened just last year in London’s Kings Cross.

German Gymnasium is best know for its high-end European dishes, ranging from grilled sausages and pork knuckles to dumplings and strudels.

The food isn't the only standout at German Gymnasium, however, as the restaurant is located in London’s first ever purpose-built gym, residing in an adjacent vault-style chamber. The large brick building can be found between Kings Cross and St Pancras stations.

Decorated with elegant fixtures and making use of a muted palette, German Gymnasium offers up a truly luxe dining experience rival to none.
