If you've been following the news regarding the live-action remake for legendary anime Ghost in the Shell, you'll know that there's been quite a bit of controversy regarding Scarlett Johansson's role in the film. However, in this newly released Ghost in the Shell featurette, it almost seems as though all doubts will be silenced.
Aside from getting a few incredible new shots from the movie, director of the 1995 anime film Mamoru Oshii has proclaimed that Scarlett Johansson "has gone above and beyond my expectations for the role" as the Major, and went on to also praise the film's creative direction.
According to the film's director Rupert Sanders, "Scarlett, she's incredible," which gives us all a reason to get excited despite the negative press around her casting.
