Designer Huy Pham has created a new set of cooking pots constructed from heat-resistant borosilicate glass, which is most often used in laboratory glassware. The "Fority Cookings Pots" in turn consists of three different sizes of containers, each capable of being used in an oven, gas stove or microwave.

"Glass has been a part of our kitchens for centuries, mainly used for serving rather than cooking," says Pham. "Choosing borosilicate glass gives the product great technical properties, but it is also the emotional value that makes it special. Transparent glass allows you to observe the whole process and see how your food is slowly being cooked."

Ideal for healthy cooking, these pots in no way react chemically with food. Pham is currently in discussion with a manufacturer, hoping to go into full-scale production.
