When we first came across Gold Fir with their debut single “Night Walk” back over the summer, we described it as “Getting sucked into an ’80s arcade game a la Tron and chilling in the luxury 8-bit night club.” Sonically, their new single “Sirens” maintains this vibe, only its visual offers a glimpse into their singularly, bizarre creative process. Watch it above.

Featuring a host of puppets, Bob Fosse-inspired moves and some truly striking tableaus, the Tegen Williams-directed “Sirens” does little to take away from the air of mystery that follows the anonymous duo we only know as Gold Fir. They have said, however, that this song is “about welcoming different aspects of yourself to the dance floor” – a skeleton key to figuring out some of the motifs in their latest video.

Stay tuned for more from Gold Fir. Revisit “Night Walk” below.
